I can’t remember a time when I didn’t dream of one day attempting to hike the Appalachian Trail.

2021 is the year where the attempt is due to become a reality. I struggled with how I’d record my experiences while hiking. I initially planned to keep a journal, but as I began planning, a cell phone became the recorder of choice over a pad and pen, and I had a few family members and friends that were interested in keeping up with my adventures. The intent of this blog, then, is to chronicle those adventures from my perspective, making use of a variety of media to put readers a little closer to being in my shoes (or sandals as it happens).
