Warning: this is a gear post. If that’s not your thing, feel free to sit this one out.
If you’ve perused my original gear post, you know that I spent quite amount of time figuring out precisely the gear that I wanted to take on my thru hike attempt. I was certain that I had the perfect selection. Unsurprisingly, I was wrong. I’m now roughly 800 miles into my trip. This is by far the longest backpacking trip I’ve ever done, and my views have continued to evolve about things I need and want to carry.
I took a rest day in Roanoke after my 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine and decided it was probably most effective to film a video outlining the changes to my views and gear.
Cheers,
Billy
